Yeah so the bush behind the bracked that holds it to the shell. Its only 4 nuts but try getting to them. You need to drop the back of the engine

Depends what the play actually is.
I will be willing to bet its the bracket which holds it to the chassis.
The part is about £20 from VX but its a bugger to do.

Ask them what the "play" actually was if its the same thing ill give you a part number for what you need :)

Yep the other half failed on this.

Its to do with the pas rack being very heavy ladened on one side they are prone to it.

Car failed its MOT today on my gsi

- Heedlight adjustment
- Welding needed on chassie
- Play in steering rack

im not to worried about it but how much am i looking for welding and also a steering rack, where would be the best place to get one or can u get the parts separate.
