theres a section of the v5 for filling out if you import to or from northern ireland

corsagodfather would be the man to tell you about this as i think his car came from there...

it costs nothing extra to get a car from NI or vice versa (bar transport, ferry, fuel etc). you do need to register with DVLA/DVLNI - all you need to do is take the V5 to central tax office, and they give you a new one. you get a snazzy mot disc in the windscreen if you get it from NI though!

if its northern ireland i would imagine its just the same as buying a car from scotland or wales?

v5 is different in ni you need to register it again in england

not sure about this way, but if it's going the other way they have to pay about a grand to import and register a car from england
