is the steering rack a common problem with corsa c 's ?

well they dont have any effect on the generall road going ness of the car so no i dont think they would...

might point it out to u but am no sure

am guessin if its gettin an mot the warrantys out so theses will need to be replaced at ure expense and the steering rack is quite pricey

great, well its going through a new M.O.T tomorrow at the sellers expense (before i view/buy it)

so would they find faults like that in the M.O.T or would they over look it ?

Main two faults to look out for are the Steering rack and the gear linkage faults.

If when sitting with the engine running you turn the steering wheel 90 degrees left to right and you hear a knocking, you need a new steering rack, but you can get it done under warranty. Gear linkage is harder to diagnose, but ifs its hard to get into gear then its most likely down to that. Again you can get it done under warranty. :)

50000 see anti roll bar links wearing

turn rack at standstill quickly from left to right, if u hear clicking it need a new rack.

make aure u can select 1st and reverse with no problems at all as selectors are notorious

thats really all the probs ave had wi mine...

just take it out n give it a bit of a hard time, make sure u drive t when its upto temperature aswell
