It looks visually different, plus no Scooby induction roar when the airbox is removed and engine is revved. | |

but as sams astra can only be between 93 and 98ish why wasnt this revesion seen on the corsa B? | |

Sam, you will probably find that the different manifold was just a revision change to make it more economical, it IS the 14XE, not XEL as everyone is saying. Only the 1.6 got the XEL variant with reduced power and increased low down torque. I dont think you will have any problems with the 1.4 in the Astra. | |

Nope it's X14XE, it's the 1.6 that has the low output engine X16XEL. | |

astra is x14xel isnt it, more restictive inlet manifold as far as im aware | |

Is there any reason why Vauxhall use a different inlet manifold on the Astra engine to the one that's in the Corsa? They are both the same engine output wise ie. 90bhp. |
