go to a scrappy, as kolin suggests - get a new steering knuckle, cv joint and all (it's all part of the same assembly, maybe even the ball joint for about 20 quid. at least that way it kinda rules out anything other than suspension/shaft.

Not much fitted it myself about £50 or something, I broke a clamp for the anti roll bar aswell - found a new one in my sock while walking round a scrappies:look:

Wheel - depends how bad it is and could cost as much as £50 to repair and not look same as other 3 when done! - maybe aswell getting a brand new wheel?

I did comthing simalar a few days ago, hit black ice locked the wheels...skidded stright towards a curb....hit it doing about 30/35....BANG!!!
Fookin shit myself...luckerly the bang was the right tyre going....slightly buckuled my alloy...other than that i got away with no serios damage....plus the tire that had blown...needed replacing anyway (6 inch old rusty nail)

I done that trying to get away from a copper wagon, pushed the wheel right into the arch! Bought a new wishbone and ball joint and fitted that was it :D

sounds like steering column/track rods/balljoint/wishbone... anything really

either way i doubt its going to be a cheap fix! worst is if the suspension is also fooked & top turret out of alignment

i side-swiped into a kerb in my old corsa in the snow. all I needed was a new stub-axle on the rear. luckily never had front swipe or anything

hit into a kerb doing about 35, then car got thrown over the road, skidded out nearly into an island!! when i hit the kerb on my passenger front wheel its damaged something, as when i straiten my steering wheel and have the driers wheel strait the passenger wheels nearly in full lock!!!! and when i put the drivers wheel halfway round to straiten up the passenger it sits out a bit form the arch, for eg if they were the wrong offset they stick out,

had to drive home with my steering wheel the wrong way and both my front wheels pointing out the way!!! not safe!!! fucking dodgy!!! front end wasnt gripping at all. Any ideas as to what it could be? track rod maybe, cars down at the garage the now waiting to be seen
