if the admin account isnt listed when you boot into safemode (it should be) then press CTRL+ALT+DEL twice to show the classic login box, just type administrator as the user & password leave it plank - click OK

ONLY works on XP Home tho - you can't set an administrator password on XP Home, its real shit! Very unsecure!

Reboot into Safe Mode, and you get to choose the actual account called "Administrator", which has a blank password on XP Home.

Mo

not on xp. if u don't enter a password and it has been set it won't let u in. If i go in as a guest it won't let me do certain things cause the adminstator is on the other account

PaulW

posted on 14th Jul 04 at 14:10

if its XP home, boot it into safe mode & the administrator acocunt will be shown in the user list (if not, press CTRL+ALT+DEL Twice)...

there isn't a password on the admin account so just login & change it
