yes the engine sits higher in the tigra and you cant close the bonnet without the correct kit

I was just going on wot every garage i went 2 including courtney said 2 me about doing the conversion.

Its certainly different, there was a lad some time ago who had a complete nightmare of a job as the engine sits too high. I'm fairly sure the Tigra kit was introduced in light of this, in which case it should be easy enough with that.

hmmm, not sure. May just keep searching for a Corsa or Nova then

don't need to streghtan bay for xe conversion on a tigra, based on corsa with a few diffrences as dan said, so will be fine
||posted on 3rd Jan 04 at 17:04|
why strengthen engine bay.

There is a Tigra conversion kit as there is slight differences in the engine of a Tigra and a Corsa. But if u get the kit u still need 2 uprate ur brakes and gearbox and get the engine mounts done and the engine bay strengthened. Quite alot of work involved in just buying the conversion kit.

need to cut bonnett on tigra i belive so engine will clear or use m tech kit for tigra as there is a difference i belive
||posted on 3rd Jan 04 at 16:28|

yeah, got a chance of a 2.0 16v Corsa which needs some minor work to get it running too. If that doesn't work, I'll go for the Tigra and it will be a stripped out 2.0 16v beast. just need some advice on the conversion

My advice is do it! :thumbs:

Ok, may be getting my hands on a 1.6 16v Tigra with a wrecked engine for small money - I take it I can use a conversion kit for a Corsa on the Tigra given they are pretty similar or is there anything I should know?
