Originally posted by broster mines a piper de-cat, this is my engine spec so far- PiperX Viper induction kit, Lexmaul inlet manifold, Ecotek Valve, Scropion Grp A cat back system, super chip, and thats running at 109bhp, so the de-cat will make a good bit of difference, seems as Chris Bingham is at 105.5bhp with the mods he listed!? i shud get about 112bhp?
Mav has a 1.6 16v by the way. Mine was a piper de-cat. You have more engine mods than me but not that far away in BHP terms. I actually lost 1 BHP with the de-cat but torque improved as did throttle response, car was much sharper. I'm suprised you don't have more BHP than that actually given your mods. Prob the massive drag factor of a superchip  If I can manage 105.5bhp with a standard chip, then £ per BHP increase was better on mine that yours. The inlet must have cost you a bit too.
