yeah it was a white renault van, but i still dont no if i really was over the limit.

it could work out (if i was REALLY cheeky and pushed my luck):

speedo read 48mph

2.2% smaller wheels = 1mph
10% speedo inaccuracy = 4.8mph

Total = 5.8mph

48mph - 5.8mph = 42.2mph

But i reckon i'll still get done :(

Down in NW London - but i was working, driving along the A602 near Stevenage. :(

Horrible road for getting busted on mate, there is always at least one mobile speed trap between Stevenage and Hitchin on the 602.

And im afraid that if it was the white renault van that im thinking of then before your 14days is up you will be receiving 3points and a £60 fine :(

14 days for a Notice of Intended Prosecution, after that if they still issue you with a summons your solicitor will have it thrown out no probs.

3 points, £40 fine? or is it £60?

Nevertheless - southend area is notorious for that!! Wheneva i'm down that way, i drive dead slow everywhere!!! My bro got caught 3 times in one night. Basically, in 40 mins, he got him self a ban and £100+ quids worth of fines!

Idiot.

nah - coz i know up near Norwich on the A47, they have a camera van, then parked in front they have a couple of Omega traffic cars, that basically go on pursuit once an offender is caught with the radar.

3 months??? argh man, thats alot of waitin.

not heard bout that - i mean Gatsos ARE DEFINATELY still in tune to the 10% policy, so i dont see why a camera van would be any different?

oops sorry - i suppose its not a radar "gun", if they are sittin in the back of a van is it??

MattyB

Well they were sitting in a renault van, right up in a lay-by (almost in the bush), just after a sweeping corner, where the 50 dropped to a 40.

They had one door open, and it was very dark inside, but i think i just about saw 2 figures sittin inside, with screens + a camera.

I was expecting a traffic car to come steaming out at the next slip road, but he didnt. But i did get off the dual carriageway sharpish coz i was VERY low in fuel.

no - u dont understand. i said the new 17"s are 2.2% SMALLER, meaning it will actually be a good thing. ie: the speedo will over read

It was only on Tuesday - so i'm prob gonna get something through next week i reckon.

Its 14 days is the latest it can reach me right?

At 48mph, on 17"s (2.2% smaller than my 65R14 rims), what sort of speed do you believe i was actually doing (as read by a police radar gun)

Do u think its possible, i could be under the 44mph (10% over policy?)

cheers
