fucking sweet cheers tim and bradfincham. i would like to get a full exhaust system :P and also pipercross viper induction kit to replace my bfo cone... my breaks have already been uprated, but im not sure what to!

probably not good enough to cope with the increase in power though.

brad do you know any websites for vauxhall breakers?

yeah i would say that lee would do it for you! ring a vaux breakers or ask lee to find you a 1600 16v ecotoec lump, then he will fit it, whack some 2l 16v brakes and a mantzel inlet mainfold and de cat pipe! that lot would probably cost you around 1000 and you would have a about 125-135 bhp

Chatham is just the other side of the Thames from Southend -- but it's about a 40 miles drive by the time you've gone back to the Dartford crossing and round...

well my mate told me, from zetecs.com that you can get a 1.6 zetec engine and get it installed into any ford for £900.

so i was thinking it would be around the same cost? or am i well out :boggle: i wouldnt mind spending around a grand... or maybe a little more but otherwise fuck it!

PaulW

guessing then yours is a Corsa B??

You'd probably be looking around the similiar sort of cost as for a RedTop conversion, maybe a few hundred less, but there was one guy on here who did a conversion to a 1.6 16v, and ended up needing to replace nearly the entire wiring loom, not just the engine loom!

If there the only things, you can probs get the cat & lamda sensor from a scrappy, maybe for about £100 then fit it yourself

is your choice mind!

yes i know what it was, i need a new CAT and 02 tank (lamda sensor) garage up the road said they might be able to do iot for nearer £300 but tbh im just looking for an excuse for a new engine ;)

(thats for it to pass emissions btw)

my car recently failed its MOT :| and i thought okay shouldnt be too much to sort out...

until vauxhall phoned me back quoting £535 for what needs doing! so anyway i was thinking fuck that... spending over £500 on my 1.0 12v but then i had a good idea. shove another eninge in there!

i dont wanna go for a 2.0 cause it costs too much and i dont wanna have uprate other things. however will i get away with putting in say a GSi engine and keeping my suspension (lowered 40mm on PI springs) etc? how much am i looking for the engine, and how much to install it? and where would i go about doing this? please help cause i need to sort it soon! cheers :)
