I'll jump on the biscuit bandwagon. Wherever I get free sustenance, I'll bring my motor and hard earned.

There you go Michael, get in there with the Corsa

SOS Motorsport

sometimes mate all depends on the workload whats in etc

but my bodyshop is very good and pretty competitive with prices

connollygt30

Do you do the bodywork yourself mate?

SOS Motorsport

posted on 28th Oct 10 at 21:25

ye mate always good to get a base figure on the rollers to start with to see what ever mods you do along the way make any improvements and how many ponies you achieve from each mod.

DannyB

Cheers, I'll be in touch, would be good to get it on the rollers before hand then see the progression with them on.

DannyB

It's a 1.6 16v GTI engine at the minute, would you be able to supply them aswell or shall I source them

SOS Motorsport

posted on 28th Oct 10 at 21:04

depends what you get mate

what engine do you have in it at the moment ?

should have a look into the cat cams site

cat cams produce good results with most peugeot engines

Yup, definately on the cards for next year sometime, once I've got to the point where my 106 is near completion.

How much would you charge for fitting cams to my 106, what else would need doing? what cams can you reccomend?nothing too lairy mind

ye the 205 was an awesome car i must admit

a 205 with a 8v turbo can be built within a good budget and very good track/road car for the money

DannyB

posted on 28th Oct 10 at 20:47

Ahh shame, brilliant car, thinking of a 205 Turbo next myself, my mates bought a few from down your way.

SOS Motorsport

no worries at all danny

tbh its the people that make these days a good day , the venue plays a part yes but a good mix of people goes a long way

oft biscuits could be easily supplied lol

so long as they say kit kat on them hahaha

Like danny said, biscuits and i vote sos. Looks like a nice wee set up. Good value for 3 runs too.

Thanks for that Dave, I havent given any money to anywhere else yet so I can always change where we go depending on what the members say, I'd have to go where tha majority wanted as after all the day is for everyone. I'd be quite happy to come and try you guys out though, as said on 106moaners I might pop along to watch as I know a few people booked on. I'll see what everyone says in here, you mentioned free tea/coffee so that's enough to sway most of them. Throw in some digestives and we're there

Hi there guys,

Dave from SOS Motorsport here, as requested from Danny on here i thought id jump on introduce myself and give you a small insight as to what we can offer you guys.

First of a little about SOS Motorsport, we cater for all kinds of work with in our workshop, we have a full working bodyshop for custom paint works , insurance work , touch ups , crash repairs etc

On the mechanical side of things we have the means and the equipment for the smallest of jobs like tyre changes or services to the fully fledged work of a full custom car built top to bottom

As some of you may have seen the thread on my own 205 track toy that we built fully here at sos motorsport - http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=463805

we recently moved into a much bigger workshop (approx 4000sq ft ) .Which i then decided to bulid my own dyno room with goal of holding rolling road days leading onto tuning, mapping etc

weve had the rolling road up and running for a few weeks now and everything seems to running bang on with them , and as you would expect being newly calibrated the figures seem to be spot on .
heres a small look at what our dyno room looked like from start to present day -

walls going up and insulated to help noise reduction

as it sits just now with sound deadened walls etc

here is also a small vid of Dava's astra gsi on the rollers-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqYNaDnmC1o

now for what we have to offer on the day if you were to come to us for a rolling road day or any other work

we are based in falkirk just two Minutes from the town center so we are pretty central for the scottish area,

we have a large workshop, compound and covered area to hold a large group of cars and people on the day

A 2wd rolling road capable of running cars upto 500BHP ATW with a powerfull centrifugal fan (keep temps nice and low )
Hot drinks (tea and coffee) readily available

we are already going to be hosting the 306 gti-6 + 106 owners club in the new year.

on rolling road days we would be charging £25 per car for 3 runs min of 15 cars

would be £40 for 3 runs any other day

cheers, Dave
