Cobra 148’s MFD removal instructions
Firstly position both centre air vents fully face down. Now press the palm of your hand against the vent and push it inward and downwards. The vent will now turn past its stop position, this will enable you to access the screws. Do this for both vents. You should now be looking at something like this………

Undo the two screws circled in the picture, being careful not to drop them behind the panel. The complete MFD unit will now lift up clear of the dash.
Now remove the multi pin plug at the rear of the unit. You will also see two screws at the rear, these hold the MFD in the cover, undo these two screws and the complete housing will lift off.
The unit is in a plastic case, just squeeze the two clips either side at the front and slide out the main unit.
The two bulbs are on the rear of this unit, they are in basic Osram holders, just twist to remove. If using silicone covers, just remove the bulb, slide on the cover and replace the bulb, that’s it. If replacing with plug and play type led’s, you need to ensure they are inserted the correct way round. Test to see if led lights up, if it doesn’t, just remove it, turn it 180 degrees and it should be ok.

Job done…as they say in the books, re assembly is the reverse of removal. Now sit back and admire your new sexy display.
