Didnt know where to post this or whether it could go in tutorials or not, the one in there has more detail in it but doesnt have pictures. This is just a brief little post on it.

Did this on my 1.6 16v sport

As is posted in all other threads i went to http://www.topbuzz.co.uk/info/fault_codes/fault_codes.htm as this had a good tutorial.

Under the fuse panel which is above your right knee as sat in the drivers seat -

Going on the picture above, i bridged 5+6 with a paper clip -


Then turned the ignition to the live position where electric windows/mirrors etc would work and the EML light flashed the appropriate code.

Here is a little video of what it does. Mine was showing 1405. It repeats three times (although i cut the last flashes off at the end) :)
