Ok so I watched all of season one. This series is superb, it is both gripping, thrilling and very brutal.
The story focuses both on a U Boat crew out at sea and also on some characters in La Rochelle including a French resistance cell so it's not all at sea like the film was.
Highly recommend this if you like WW2 drama
Also a few reasons to watch
- Lesbians
- Tits
- Surprise sex (where everyone gets a go) :lol:
- Limbs being severed
- Grim deaths
- Awesome Submarine warfare
- Dark
- Brutal
- Realistic ie it's not all sunshine and unicorns and the characters and tragedy that befalls some of them is not hollywood cheese.
- Excellent writing
- Great cinematography
- Bleak
- Superb characters and acting
It's a real gem :thumbs:

Has anyone started watching this Series?
I loved the original film and believe this is set 6 months after those events in 1942 but with a new crew and sub kind of like a reboot but not?
