well i ordered the new tv tonight, 50" DLP samsung :D

and bought a recordable dvd player and surround set from...asda :lol: £155 all in so cant grumble, sounds alright, the sub farts a bit tho! better than the tv speakers anyway.

I know you don't need dvd etc but i got

Sony WEGA home cinema surround system...

28" flat widescreen tv
Dvd and full cineam surround sound 4 speakers plus sub woofer
stand etc

all for £500 brand new..

sound is amazing

you can't beat Sony i think, i had a toshiba sytem before this and sony is different class

I went top of the range when mine came out mine a sony DAV 5300 and its an amazing sytem. Song and JVC both produce good systems!

comes with a dvd player but i take it i need this to power the speakers? or is a seperate amp supplied?

When you say cheap as possible do you really mean that? You get what you pay for at teh end of the day, could probably get something for under £100 but it would be well worth spending at least double that if funds allow

lookin to buy a surround sound set for a new tv we're getting, dont need a dvd player or anything just the speakers and amp, any ideas? cheap as possible :thumbs:
