Had a look in my haynes and i've came up with this :

Crankshaft speed/position sensor : located at the rear right hand side of the cylinder block baseplate, below the starter motor.

This the on you suggested????

Well as it stands just now, if i try and start it, i can hear the air mass meter "chugging" and also can confirm that the cylinders fire in order i.e. 1,2,3 (from left to right).

However i cant or havent yet, measured the voltage of the spark etc...

Do you know where this sensor will be or called???

Al go in find my haynes and have a browse in the ignition systems bit.

nup, definatly firing ok, all in order etc.

Only pulls back when i give it gas if i've just started it from cold. If i leave it to heat up a touch.... then its fine

i say leads coz u say when u put ure foot down it slows meaning it aint firing right

may be strange but are the leads on the right way u havent mixed two of them up so it aint firing right?

fuel filter? blocked?
leads how old are they with it being a 3cylinder
if 1 lead goes it wont run on 2 cylinder like 4 pot engines

So folks........ the saga continues.
Heres a link for any newcomers willing to help:
Basically, my car (1.0 12V) played games with me for a while i.e. loss of power around 3500-4500 revs. Had to change down gear (increase revs) in order for the light (engine management) to go off. Eventually the light stayed on! The car would play up when it was cold, e.g. if i gave it more gas, it slowed down! So, if i left it for a wee while for it to heat up, it would be fine as such........ but still with the occasional loss of power.

And yes, eventually the car wouldnt start one day!

So heres a list of things i've checked or replaced:

Air Mass Meter
Spark Plugs
Fuel Pump (can hear a noise form it, so i presume its working!)
Also checke that no connectors are loose!
Oil level and filter.
Battery strength!
Lambda Sensor

So ladies, whats my fuckn problem :(
