will fuel trips be more regular wiv the velos, cos it puts out more bhp or wiil it be less due to it flowing more air through.:boggle:

I dont think they increase power (by anything noticable) but do help fuel economy. Its RPM that governs the need for them, so I cant see why a 1.6 would need them over a 1.4.

quote: All the vac runs into the one hole but you dont get the little adapter to take the vac off for the map before the rest of the other stuff so i ended up having to disconnect my fuel tank vent out of the loop as it used to struggle at part throttle. Personally wouldn't spend £50 on it without the chance of getting my money back if it didnt increase power. You'll probably be ok with standard rod bolts as its only a 1.4 but mine's a 1.6 and ran up to 7822rpm at donny south to get to 63mph in 2nd. Its not meant to be recomended to go over 7000rpm on standard con rod bolts.

They are uprated stronger bolts, rod bolts being the bolts that hold the con rods to the crank.

The ecotek devices do work and cause no probs with the map sensor, I had one on my 1.4 16v with mantzel.

the ecotek widget is worth gettin even if ur engine is standard, works well on my car, why do u think he should get a exhaust manifold first?

Miles, i was saying that he should get the exhaust manifold after the inlet manifold rather than an ecotek widget

You'll get more power per £ with a inlet manifold replacement than a exhaust.

cos i velos plenum does replace your manifold, bit like a ram induction.
