You seen that red Volvo estate in a recent mag m8? It claims to have 7" wheel spacers!!!!

mate spacers will put extra strain on the wheel bolts.I've had serious probs with 13mm spacers. The bolts wrapped and cracked and damaged the hubs.I had to change them.It is better if you go for a lower offset value alloys as these will are made so that they wont stress the bolts.

It depends of the width of the wheel.
When I take 7X16 I will need ET45 to 49
When I take 7,5X16 I will need something about ET35.

The offset is measured the distance of the middle of the wheel to the end side (the side that touches the axle)

E.G.

Your left rear wheel.
From left to right
When you have first the center and then the end side you will have a negative offset. ET-20

When you have the end side first and then the middle, you will have a possitive offset.

Please correct me if I am wrong.
Oh, yeah the difference between ET40 and ET41 is 1mm

greetz;)

leon, what offset & size are your wheels?

you can get all sizes of spacers from 15mm down to 1mm so you might be able to sort your centre cap problem

spacers lower the offset of the wheel....no real use on vauxhalls as we have the highest offset.

say for example someone with a clio buys wheels from a corsa that are et 45 they would need a 10mm spacer to bring it down to et35
