if the car's a C the cat and manifold are all one bit if its a b then the cat bolts off the manifold. both have the sensor located in the cat casing but can be unscrewed.
I would suggest a downpipe with a sport cat fitted under the car and weld in a boss at the top to take the sensor. if you drive a c then you would have to make an entire new manifold. either way I would keep the lambda and fit a high flow cat somewhere in the system

It will sound quite raspy because the exhaust will be deristricted.

I'm not sure if you'd have to remove the lambda at all... never heard it mentioned. Even if you did, it would only affect fuel consumption.

its in the rite section this time........ reaally need help on this one.

any1 know anythig about takin the cat outta a 1.2 16v.
i heard it catn be done cos its so close to the manifold and that theres a sensor in the middle of it so the car will run. i'm guessin this is the lambda
sensor and if so is there any way of bypassing it.
my m8 saya he can make a sensor but he needs to know what range it works at..... is this possible.
:boggle::boggle::!
