Hmm interesting, is there much demand for the 1.4sri box etc then? or am i just better off looking for the engine alone, although in reality i dont imagine people are gonna be selling the engine alone unless they are a breakers yard as the sri box is not compatible with the most favoured XE conversion is it? might be wrong there, looks like ill keep an eye out for whatevers going around then probs engine box and rest. | |

Yea that is an option, local scrappies round here are absolutly sh1te so itd have to be a big breakers yard. | |

i got an sri sport 16v lump with 46,129 miles on it, only took it out coz i had a conversion to a 2litre, so its not as if i took it out due to any damage or anything, its unmodded,clean and yours for £350 with ancillaries | |

Yea its the 1.4 16v that im looking for, would it be fari to say that the max to part with would be £300 for a low miler unmodded lump? | |

8v's, about £100 for just the engine (no box, loom, ecu etc) as they are the same as the 1.4 mpi found in mk3 astra's. | |
