a faulty CD, had an mp3 cd in my stereo and looked at it and it was scratched

stange thing was that it wasn't alway the same place when it jumped - no particular track

got my sisters old stereo try with

ask a mate if u can lend his HU and plus ure iso into it, see if u have the problem still. if u do then its a grounding.interferance prolem, if not then ure HU is fooked

could be a fault with the amp, or the power side for that amp. Triple check all wiring. If all that fails, try an interference supressor that connects to the positive terminal of you battery and bolts onto the cars chassis.

Right got problems with my stereo, when driving along sometimes (particuarly if volume is higher) my front speakers (think it both) start making a high pitched squealing/popping can turn stereo off and then back on again and sometimes its gone and sometimes it hasn't
any suggestions?
don't think its the ground or remote (moved the ground already to different point) remote is firmly in place.
been wired in for a year so :boggle:

subs run off seperate amp and they are fine
