u see people selling on 1.4 16v and 1.6v engines on here, migweb, ebay etc usually pretty damn cheap.

As far as i know, in most circumstances, the owner of the vehicle owns the engine that comes out (unless pre arranged otherwise).

x14xe (1.4 16v) - ur lookin bout £250-300 all in (inc. box)

x16xe (1.6 16v) - bout £350-400

Bargains.

Matt

WHEN... There is an engine upgrade done, e.g. If someone on here was upgrading from a 1.6 16v to a 2.0 16v, what happens to the old engine ?

I'd imagine the transplanter person has it and sells it on, if so, how much would i be looking at for a 1.4 16v or a 1.6 16v ? I could do with a new engine, without having my insurance bumped up stupid amounts.

OR

would i be better getting a refurb ? it's done 126,000 or something stupid like that @ moment thats the thing...
