No mate,

u cant fit cylinders.

think of you engine as a big block with 4 holes in it, which the pistons move up & down in. In your car these 4 holes add up to 1200cc, the GSI has 4 bigger holes that add upto 1600cc, but also has bigger psitons.

therefore, the GSI pistons will not fit into an 1.28v block, they will be too big.

the only way to improve this car is to do an a complete engine conversion, i.e. a full 1.6 setup

or else sell it on and use to the money towards buying a more powerful car

I bought it 2 years ago (second hand). But if i change the cylinders too with GSI cylinders, would it be worth it? Theoratically my engine would become a 1.6 8v engine. right?

Konrad,

how long have you had the car? there is no point trying to improve this engine it is slow, and you just cannot put a multipoint injection system on it.

my advice is to save your money, and buy something with a bit of power in a year or two

you will just be wasting your money otherwise.

also, a loom is just all the electrical wiring for a car

Whats a loom? And how much would it cost?

Thanks.

Yes u r right! Engine is terribly slow :( Im trying to figure out what to do to improve the power a bit more without changing the engine.

The multiport injection system would cost a lot? and how much bhp gain will there be?

Thanx

I have a 1.2 8v corsa. mine has a single point fuel injector. Is there a better injector that puts more fuel to the engine? Are the GSI injectors the same as mine?

Thanks
