Yeh, they kind of weld the tyre, this is done to lorries that have punctures, they have to send the tyre off tho.

u can get it repaired even if its touching or punctured the sidewall, not many people think so but u can, not all places can do it though!

The tyre on the spare on every Sxi i've known (5 of them at my house) has the same tyre on the spare as it has on the wheels. Get them changed over

u cant use the tyre off the spare coz the spare is a 14" steelie. just get the puncture plugged or use that stuff in a can that u put in the tyre to seal it

paul_spurrell

i know how to change a tyre know a person with the machine that lets me use it but i think i can get the tyre repaired....my brother had this done once. just getting what ever car my dad gets in first...want an sxi dti like my brothers but my dad has not had any in for ages and i would like a new 1.4 sri but i would take another 1.2 sxi if i had to but its just a bit expensive to run

is there any way u can use the tyre off of the spare then ?

& What car u getting next ?

Doug_SRi

posted on 31st May 03 at 14:03

cause of this...

i am getting rid of the car in a month so dont really wanna get a new tyre as all the tyres will need replaced pretty soon

Mikeboy

my dad needed a new tyre for his astra sxi, but they changed the design, and he couldn't get one. So he had to get one of the last ones available in the coutry couriered to the dealer where they changed it ! Cost a fortune.

- So pretty good that the tyre on the spare (on the corsa) is usable on the alloy too..

Probably doesn't help you tho !
