brummie, it seems like ur pushing your JVC amp too hard to power them and its cutting out, or the JBL crossovers have a protection feature on them to stop underpowering damaging the speakers.

TOMAS, no not all corsa's come with components up front, they have the spaces in the handles for them inside, but only the high end or sport models will have them there. The corsa's ive done up front speaker replacements for, none of them have had tweeters.

Yes but ur headunit has still gotta give it that power to give it that volume!!! Your old speakers arent components! They are about 5 or 10 watts standard!

i didnt have that problem with my old speakers tho! the jbl's are 210 watts so i thought they would handle some volume!

it could be the protection feature on the crossovers which some of them have, or its the protection feature on ur headunit kicking in. Components shouldnt be run off a h/u

just replaced the standard speakers and tweeters with some nice new jbl gto6506ce components, the broblem is when they are at about half volume they start to splutter and cut out! i have checked the wiring and this is all sweet.
the hu is a 40w per channel jvc, the speaker wire is wired in to the cross over and the tweeters and woofer are wired in as normal and i cant see the problem!! neeeeeeeeeeed heeeeeeeeeeeeeeellllllp!!
