Mine doesn't drive well when the i light comes on, goes into limp mode.

I've put through some Wynns cleaner this morning. I'd prefer the millers but this is all Halfords had in stock.

It's run ok for around 25 miles, will have to see how it goes.

Yeah DPF cost about a grand, so not cheap at all. As Tom said, get a forced regen done. A load of black shit should come out the exhaust, then reset with code reader.

This will be an ongoing process by the way, so don't expect it to disappear. My dads comes up every so often. Car drives fine though.

Needs a forced regen wasting money on cleaners and code readers. Stop being a minge bag and take it to a garage and get a forced re gen, doesn't need specific ford diagnostics any garage with decent gear upto date snap on diagnostics etc can do it.

Seems to only come on once up to temp.

Apparently a new DPF can cost up to 1k from the dealer.

I'll put through some cleaner and buy a code reader i think to begin with

My dads Kuga has the same message. It's to do with the DPF according to the dealer. Needs resetting using a diagnostics reader of some sort.

When was it last serviced?

Motorway is when the message comes up. It's very rare used around town.

Worried if I take it to Ford they will screw me over.

Call the AA or take it to the garage for the code to be read.

Or you can guess and spend a fortune replacing the wrong bits... :look:

What journeys do you do in it? If it's short journeys, then take it for a long (15-20 mile) run down the motorway at 70mph as it may be having trouble with regen.

I've been having some problems with the Focus over the past couple of weeks. I'm not wanting to spend money on it as i don't plan on keeping it for much longer.

I get this message on the screen once the engine is up to temp and the turbo decides it no longer wants to work

Car has only done 38k and on a 61 plate.

I've not got a code reader. I've cleaned the EGR valve.

Any thoughts on what else i can try?

Thinking of sticking some of this in?
