Yeah I read about someone who did that too, but I thought it would be just as difficult figuring out which were +/- there, and then I would have a wire coming down from the dash to the light switch.

But I figured it out in the end, and it's now bright and shiny :D And the dimmer function works perfectly. It just doesn't dimm that much, not even 50% dimming. But I'll probably still keep it at full anyway.

I'll get a pic up showing my +/- connection from one of the dash illumination bulb holes.

It wasn't that easy to solder onto the flex print behind the dash though. So others who try it, take it easy, and "burn" away the plastic covering of the cobber lanes where you want to solder wires to. And put something underneath the flexprint, in between the print and the dash-plastic when soldering, or you will probably melt the dash.

I just taped up the wires from the plasma dials around the dash cluster, and the inverter taped to the bottom of the dash. So it sits behind the steering stem cover, and below the cluster, and then get's covered up by the outer cluster cover. It does give a little buzzing, but I hope I can put some soundproofing around hte inverter, but it's not noticeable when sucking through the open filter or drilled airbox anyway

But fitted that way, and soldered up to the bulb hole, makes it easy plug and play ;)

See if I can remember to take some pics of it all, when I take it all apart again for putting in painted needles. As I didn't get any pic's taken of the wiring, as my cam in my phone is crap :D

When I fitted plasma dials to the GF's corsa I wired it to the light switch. You'll find it a lot easier

Hi guys,

I'm in the process of fitting some plasma dials to my B, and need to get it wired up to illuminate it. So I wanted to wire it up to one of the bulb holes for the normal dash illumination, but I can't seem t figure out what side of the bulbs are (+), and what sides are (-)

Anybody know what sides are what?
