I have c16xe block, X16xe head and X14xe exhaust manifold and had no problem with 11:1 compression ratio.
Also the inlet and exhaust ports were ported, there was a lot of metal to remove especially on the inlet side.
Of course if your head had been skimmed before that could be a problem

as in the subject, ive got a c16 head and a x16xe inlet to match the port sizes, now from what ive come across, the c16 has same cam profiles inlet and exhaust and also has a higher compression ratio so is this going to give me clearance issues?
my plan was x14xe head set, c16 lower inlet gasket and x16 upper inlet gasket, i cant remember tho if there was larger holes in the inlet gasket to allow for the same set to work on other xe heads?!
and also exhaust ports on c16xe should fit the x14xe exhaust manifold yes?

Thanking yous!
