I've just been out and put some grips around it and gave it my absolute all (maybe I'm just a pussy lol) but it wouldn't budge at all :( hmm, might just take it to a garage tbh. Also, do you think that pipe will fit my x16xe? Just in case this one gets ruined...

There's nothing holding it in, just a tight fit! Tried to get mine out but gave up before I mullered it

according to this:

I think there a bolt that secures it to the block. If you can access that you should be able to carefully pull it out and get your dipstick out

Any more thoughts guys? I've tried everything I can think of to get it out, it looks like I'm going to have to remove the pipe from the sump, but from what I can see, it just disappears into the sump with no surrounding bolts or anything to give away how its meant to be removed....

on my car, (VW), i just removed the dipstick tube, was one bolts holding it to the block near the top of engine, then it just pulled out

Hmm, I think its stuck in there a lot more firmly than what a magnet could do, it was stuck in there so much that I put a screw driver through the ring/hoop on the dipstick, and it only broke after I put all my effort into pulling it out....

Hey guys, just a quick one

The handle for my dipstick has broken, and the only way i can think to get it out now is to remove the tube from the sump, can anyone tell me how to do this? Or maybe have another suggestion as to how I can get it out? The dipstick is now completely level with the tube :(

Thanks !
