Checked the injectors?

my old xe one of the injector clips had popped off causing it to not sit right. you couldnt see it was leaking until you took it off

id say the fuel tank vent valve, usually in passenger front wing has been disconnected and just left blank.

used to stink in my old gsi when i removed it but didnt blank it off

Scrappy / Vauxhall / some other sort of rubber seal.

I would check it first, back seat up, plastic cover lift it and see!

I scrapped it cause it was utter death trap so never did find out. But i believe there is some kind of vent that should let the pressure out the tank.
Somebody with more knowledge than me will know lol.
Check the tank isnt leaking anywhere

There's gotta be a leak somewhere, thoroughly check all the exhaust system, fuel tank breather pipes etc. I had a corsa do this everytime it was filled up with petrol.

its got worse since i filled it if that helps what you reckon it is or what was it ?
