Yeah could be injector seals sucking in air

ok ill give it a go i hear like a hissing noise befor it kicks off and if i rev it it goes away

take the fuel rail off, you may find there not sat right.

if they are and the rubber seal isnt there or is perished they just need new rubber o rings

im going to look at breathers no leak from fuel filter jusy checked no leaks underneath so must be a filter under the bonnett

my polo stinks of fuel when you have the heaters on and are idleing. Its a breather in the engine bay that has killed itself. Check all your breathers are on properly and not split or anything. More than likley be one of them :)

Check seal on top of tank!!! Im sure i said that on another site aswell also make sure nothings leaking on pump or the two hoses going to engine

no its got a 2.0 8v lump uprated cams and pulley full system pratcially a straight through from the manifold back on a long drive its not to bad

as above i thought it could be a cat leak but the car has no cat just womdering if anyone has any ideas noticed more when driven hard
