It all depends on the car and type of screen you want, where you want the PS2 fitted etc. Ideally I think roof top mounted screens are ideal as they fold away into their pods and dont take up din sockets. It aslo depends on how you want the audio handled, either through an AV master, or siply into RCA Input on stereo. Send me an email to rossyboy@supanet.com with a rough idea of your requirements and your budget

DMS3 (Devolution Memory System 3) is not a Magic chip. As its far more stable, can be re-flashed, even rolled back if flash goes wrong. Above should read "as is" not "as in"

since when did the DMS3 become the magic chip? Magic is totally different, doesnt use the Actel component.

thats correct austin, DMS3 as in magic chip is probably the best, its slightly cheaper than messiah 2 too

Good prices corsa console, Munchie mate i dont reccomend the Neo 2.2 at all tis a pain in the arse when it comes to playing some of the bigger games such as GTA3. Best to go for the Messiah 2, i know the guy who made it, designed perfectly. If you want the most up to date chip, consider the new DMS3, whips the ass off any other chip imo.

If anyone is thinking of buying a console, i highly recommend the XBOX, no other console comes close, once chipped (£30) they are an amazing bit of kit, dolby 5:1 surround DVD too if putting in car

Depends what modification you want in it mate, there are loads on the market. Cheapest is NEO2.2 £25 supplied and fitted. This allows the playing of backups and imports but with a boot disk (£15). Or at the other end of scale, something like a messiah 2 for £75 will play anything you throw at it directly without a swap or boot method, like the old playstations used to.

i think the problem he is having is one i used to hav, i figured out that the 4 and 5 divx codecs play old content, but doesnt encode it, so you need to get hold of the divx 3 codec too. Ive U2U'd u with a guide tomas ;)

Do you know much about computers? I have a Multi-region DVD player that plays VCD's also. I download Movie files from KazaaLite but I then want to create VCD's with them using my EASY CD CREATOR PLATINUM 5 software, sometimes it says they will work and other times it wont? How can i convert them to run as VCD's? I download MPEGS and AVI files if thats any use as im not very computer literate and im using Windows 2000XP with Media Player 9 and Media Encoder 9 - (will this do it?). Cheers... TOM p.s plz U2U me as I dont tend to look at posts much.

I am taking it that you dont have AV input for CD-Changer? if you do then a simple AV selector can be used to switch between your cd-changer and PS2. The best way to do this is to use an AV Master setup, where one box controls Sat.Nav, Games Console, DVD, DAB etc but these are around £499.99 upwards.
The FM modulator, depending on the model, should be allowed to use an alternate frequency as the one its on is picking up interference, have you considered surpressors? these can reduce interference also. Without seeing the setup its hard to advise

I have a sony haed unit, which has a bus in only so i cant get sound from my ps2 to go through my headunit. i heard that there was a way to trick it but i don't know how.

I bought an FM modulator it sounds crap like an un-tuned radio station, and i can hear road noise aswell is this fitted right??
