Screwdriver in the vent in the disc so it rests on the caliper.

Turn the wheel so the wheel is pointing inward, ie turn left if you are doing the right one so you don't need such a big extension bar to avoid the bodywork.

Turn the hub nut by going down on the left rather than lifting from the right.

Thought i would ask! I always overlook little things like that!

The bars should do. I use a scafolding bar for mine. I pinch bars from trampolines if the scafold bar is too long ;)

Yer tom ive removed the split pin haha :). Ill try soaking it. Then put in gear and sit on the brakes and drop a screwdriver through it too haha. Got the handle bars off a kids scooter as a diy breaker so that shud be alright. Cheers guys appreciate it

When I did mine I put a long screwdriver through one of the bolt wholes on the disc, turned it until it the screwdriver was resting on the hub and then undid the hubnut. The only its going to move that way is if the screw driver snaps :P

You have taken the split pin out right? Might sound silly but its something i have done before!

Leave the wheel on the car. Stick it in gear/put the brake on. get a socket on a breaker bar and then stick a nice long pole on the end of that. The extra length on the pole will give you the leverage you need to get it off.

If you are still turning the disc the only other thing i can think of is sticking a metal rod/thick screwdriver in the vented section of the disc, when it meets the caliper this will stop the nut from spinning.

I have not heard of hub nuts seizing. But if you was to soak itin some WD/brake fluid over night then it shouldnt be a problem to get off.

A bit of heat always helps

Im doing a xe conversion on my 1.2 8v. Basicly everything off and ready for the engine to come out apart from the hubs. Cant get the hub nut off the end of the drive shafts. Had someone sit on the brakes and had a home made breaker bar on it but still no joy. i just overpower the brakes. Anyone got any good idea's as to how to get it off? The only way i can think of is a impact gun?? And a can of gt80
