What have you done with the wires from the removed engine that are left over?i believe it will be the loom part that is pointing up next to the brown wire!
It might be handy for someone to do a complete how to guide for the type 2,radiator to use,eps fitment + wiring, loom wiring maybe even a home modified big bearing hub conversion how 2.
Will earn someone a few gold stars maybe even a pint:thumbs:

in that case leave the ecu wires in the bay and make your connections there.

This seems to be a regular thing coming up now.

So Guide to fit a c20xe into 1.0 12v or 1.2 16v Corsa

After removal of the original engine, the ecu plug is in the bay like so...

Along with another plug which runs injectors on the original engine and had oil pressure wire on it.

Really thick Red/Blue Is not used.
Blue/green oil pressure to xe one

Now depending on the xe loom you have, most have the connections inside the car, otheres in the engine bay.

You need to cut this plug off and pull the wires back through into the car from in the drives footwell under the dash like so...

I would leave the thin black wire off this plug in the bay, as thats where the ignition live is on the xe loom.

On this loom you should have:

Blue/red
Blue/red Slightly thicker.
Brown/white
Brown/red
Brown/black
Brown
Red/blue
Red
Brown/blue
Black
Green (Not pictured)
Blue (Not pictured)

And your xe loom should look like this if its got its original plugs, most don't nowadays.

So now here we go..

Wiring colours are as follows:

XE loom

Green - revcounter feed, wire to green on corsa

Brown/Blue - ECU light, match to corsa loom

Brown/White - Diagnostics, match to corsa loom

Brown/Yellow - Diagnostics, brown and black on corsa

Blue/red (thick) - Fuel pump feed, Blue/red Slightly thicker on corsa

Blue - Coolant temp sensor feed for dash clocks, match to loom

Red/White - Autobox, unused in conversion

Red/Blue (thin) - electronic speedo feed, match to corsa plug

Red (large) - Battery +ve

Black (thin) Should be at the end of injector loom on xe, match to thin black we left in the bay earlier

Black/green - Aircon, unused in conversion

Now to get your fuel pump working you need to remove the glove box, and to the left there should be 3 relays like this.

One on the right has,
2 thick red/blue
1 thick red
1 thin red
1 black brown

And the one on the left,
2 red/blues, one slightly thicker than the other You need to remove the relay and bridge over these wires with a bit of wire and 2 spade connectors
1 red
1 brown red

This should have your c20xe running.
