Got it all back and the clutch pedal feels so good now, really light and much more positive, before it was quite hard to push down and felt notchy on the way up with some squeaking from the pedal, now thats gone!

Thats a fucking rip off its a 10 minute job, they will fit it at the roadside and drive it to the garage.

I live in Portsmouth but I've got the garage at the end of my road (really trust worthy guys not some cowboys) to take care of it for me, £65 supplied at fitted isnt too bad I think, and they're going to get it from where i left it.

Possibly felt dodgy due to the cable.

Cheers for the help guys, I didnt want to drive it home because the clutch feels dodgy anyways and didnt want to rape that, especially before x-mas!

I drove a mini with no clutch once - leak in the slave cylinder hose or something meant it was like having no clutch cable, you'll crunch a few times but eventually get used to it.

So i pulled into a road and pressed the pedal to change gear and BANG the pedal goes to floor and i had to coast to a stop and luckily pull it out of gear. Give my mates a call to push me into a nearby space and left it there! |
