Nope its a typical vauxhall hiccup. I remember all 3 of my dads cavs had whineing power steering pumps. IT might be a wheel bearing though, im only hinting at what it might be.

right i got this noise that started a few months back. it was a slight kinda whining / rubbing noise when i was turning (right hand) tight corners or if the car was on ful lock. This noise has got louder and have noticed it when i slow right down at the lights or it the car is rolling along very slowly.

It just got its csecond service from vauxhall & i told them about ti and they apparently road testerd the car and found nothing. They also found nothing fromthe knocking noise frommy steering rack, which i was told by another vauxhall garage that they have had a numberof corsa c's back with the problem and vauxhall know about it but cant do anythin cos they dont know why its doing it.

so any ideas on the whining noise? people have nbeen sayin its my wheel bearings but the cars only a Y reg on 20,000 miles, its lowwered 40 & sittin on 16s (but i shudnt see that being the prob seen as the new sri comes on 16s and is lowered also).

any help much appreciated!
