i dunno mate, i got mine separately, not as a kit.

koni or spax are just as good as each other, both are the bollox

U reckon I shud just get the full koni kit then - lol
Or u think a mix and match cud b best? how much is the koni 60mil kit neways? isit much more than the spax (£
375)

i have a mixture frankee, i have koni top adjustable shocks, front -60mm apex springs and rear pi -60 springs (the rear 60mm apex springs lowered like 30mm)
when i say the ride is much better, thats over lowering springs and standard dampers. but its a million times less bumpy than m2rv_h full gmax 60mm kit. you get a little knob with mine which u stick on the top of the shocks and turn, its that simple to do. oh and handling in the wet is better than it used to be in the dry now. im very impressed and will buy them again.

Alritey then, i think a bit more saving up and its gona b the adjustables. b beta off in da long run. cheers Kris, u told me the decider.
Oh and wat kit hav u got?does it lower to 60 mil???

i adjust mine, soft for motorway driving, harder for round town. it take all of 2 seconds to adjust em.

ride is much better too, nowhere near as bouncy, very smooth, even lowered 60mm on mine.

i dunno, mite just go 4 the standard kit, cant b arsed to spend extra 100. but if its worth it in long term..........
I cant fukin decide!!!!!!!!! :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

i dont c the point in adjustables expecially for £100 more. my mate has them and hes never adjusted them. id rather spend the 100 on something elso put it towards better suspension

Or shall i just 4get all these extra costs, slam it to the ground on the 60 mil normal kit and mod the arches to suit. I dont think its gona b worth it really, coz i mite not use it.
BUT, i just thought of sumthin: if i get a 2 litre shoved in next year, will i have 2 upgrade the suspension? wud the adjustables be alrite for either engine? in other words, shall i get the adjustables for the long run so i dont end up buyin a normal kit now and a different one at the time of the transplant??????????
im confused!!!!!!!
there must b sum1 out there who knows the answers!!!!!!!!

if u want a quality suspension set up its worth looking at bilsteins - 399 quid from PVD :D

Frankee_B

wat does every1 else think?
worth the xtra?

stuyw

posted on 25th Mar 03 at 13:57

if ur not gonna use it on track etc then i dont reckon there is much point buying adjustable suspension, but its ur choice at the end of the day m8 :)

Frankee_B

That woz the whole point m8, i dont hav a fukin clue wat im talkin about. oh, and didnt mean 2 sound bitchy in reply to kris td,the typing came out wrong

:)

so u think i shud just buy the kit at 60mil neway?
is it really worth gettin adjustables, coz my m8s say i mite only adjust once in a blue moon

not really shelling out an extra 100 quid if ur not gonna adjust them more than once, coz most peeps buy the adjustable ones n once set up to the chosen ride height dont adjust them again

Kris TD

posted on 25th Mar 03 at 13:35

Frankee_B

Kris TD

pvd are selling coilovers in there sale for 150 quid.

Frankee_B

As above. Basically, Im lowering me car -60mil but I dunno wat kit to get
its either SPAX VSX kit for £275 or the SPAX PSX kit for £375.
Difference is dat the more expensive one is adjustable? Is it worth paying out £100 extra? bearing in mind its a 60mil drop so if i cum across any trouble, i can just whack the springs right up.I can also get away from those nasty speed bumps as well

I really need ur opinions now guys as I close to buying the cheaper kit. Is it worth waiting and saving up more money to get the adjustables?????????
