the only problem with cav turbo's is that the holes are visible (no centrecap to hide it) so whoever does it will have to spend longer making it all perfect etc

I asked about this, and was told if I had the wheels refurbed, you would not be able to tell.

That would be the issue I have. Maybe ot worth it for Cav Turbo rims, but it opens the option of having wheels on the car that no-one else would.

Ahh nice one, i'll see what they say, probably not worth it just to put some Cav Turbo rims on, especially if theres a chance the wheel will just crumble as soon as i hit a pot hole accidently haha

Presonally, no lol...

I saw the link on Edition38 so have a look around there.

Cheers mate, any idea if this is actually safe? Ha, i've emailed about 3 places to see if they can do it so far.

VooDoo Motorsport

On the link there is a simple form to fill out. Fill this out explaining what you need, and they will get back to you. Prices depend on the specific wheel, so they will ask for mearurments and maybe pictures.

Edit: I'm not sure about the process. I personally would leave it to people that have done it before.

I've been looking into this as i'd seen a guy from South Africa on here with some 4 stud Turbo's in a picture, but wasnt sure if it was safe to do so. Any idea what places would weld it up? My mate works in a big machinist place so im guessing i could get him to redrill the wheels?

You could always change the PCD of the wheel. there are companies that will fil and weld the wheel, and redrill to the desired PCD. Around £50 a wheel i believe

why not use hub centric changers, i have a VW friend who uses them.
paid about 90 quid i think for them, and the wheels what ever cost that is.

That's what i thought, so i've decided to spend some money on a Sportex backbox instead!

Changing hubs is the only way.

Cheers pal, i'm thinking 22mm spacing on each wheel is a bit too much though? Especially seen as my cesaro's are already pretty close to my arches, so 16s and spaced out might be a bit close!

there are just some hub adapters on the bay, dont know how they are though as ive never had any nor spoken to any1 who has

4 stud hubs would be to small to have drilled,5 stub hub has a bigger circle of diameter

Norcy91

Reckon re-drilling some hubs would be safe? The original holes would be properly welded up and machined flat, then a proper machinist would be drilling new holes

new front hubs, new front brakes, rear disc fitting kit, rear brakes, handbrake cable, wheels, had to make it suit the 1600 engine first then redo it slightly to suit the xe conversion cost me just under £1k just so i could have the wheels i wanted lol

I'm after some Cav Turbo rims for my Corsa B, but obviously the big problem is that they're 5 stud... Anyone know what works involved converting to 5 stud? Can you just get stud adapters? I don't know what any of it would cost or which is the better choice. Any help is appreciated! Thanks
