yes mate, if you dont mind messing about abit then put the 9 coil spring on one damper and the 8 coil spring on the other and then put both on..... see which one is more bouncy and use the less bouncy spring but im pretty sure it will be the 9 coil spring

if the coils are closser together they are harder springs if the coils more apart they and softer spring mate.

if they have a code on, the only way you are really going to find out is by ringing GAZ and giving them the code

someone just told me that they think the other ones are 200lbs because more coils make them softer aparently

As Scotty said, unless you're going to the the kind of lengths like getting the car corner weighted there's not much point in changing the springs. But fair enough if you want to, I'd hazard a guess that the 9 coil bad boys are the 300lb ones since they've go tan extra coil to deal with the extra weight. But I'm not sure at all.

hey guys just bought a set of GAZ coilovers, they came with 2 sets of springs, the set thats already one them have a tag on them sayin 'GAZZMATIC 2.25x8 x 250lbs' I no you need 300lbs springs for a corsa c20xe for the weight difference, the other springs they came with are the exact same size (2.25x8") just theres more coils! (spring is closer together) was thinking maybe there 300lbs? just wonderin if ppl would leave these on or put the other ones on?

heres the pic of the difference in springs

notice there is 8 coils on the springs on the coilovers and 9 coils on the other ones, which ones to put on??
