yeah you can leave the arch trims on but i prefer to tke them off as when you take the 10mm plastic nut off it can still catch and can be a bugger to pry the arch trim back just enough to remove the bumper..

im a bit of a finiky git like that i spose

Yeah little black flat thing, push a small flat head in the centre of them, the centre pushes in, you can then twist it out. Do not need to take wings of, it was just a guide, you also dont need to take arches of to remove bumper.!"""

The bumpers mounting at the side is obtainable without taking arch lining off! There is like a little "lid/flap" on that bolt and only that bolt (Its the first bolt) under the flap you can feel the nut, undo that.
After you undo that the front of arch becomes loose, and under there you can see nut(which is now freely hangry) remove that and bumper will drop down

jack the front up
remove the wheels
Remove the plastic clips and 2 nuts
(plastic clips have a small rod in the center of them try not to push the rod out the other end or you'll be buying new clips)
inner arch trims out.

bumper has 4 bolts under the car
2 bolts on top at the edge of the grill
2 nuts in the arch (you need to take the arch trims off to remove the bumper properly)

wings off
4/5 bolts on the top under bonnet
1 bolt under the car on the seal (this will be covered in underseal/stone chip also will have sealent behind this bolt and where the arch goes next to the suspension top mount a screw driver is all you need to pry the arch away)
1 bolt in the door jam (open the door and its by the door mirror)
un clip the indicator.

job done easy as pie

I managed to get my arch trims off without removing the bumper.

Im sure that you can just gently peel the arch s**t-shield away, peoviding your gentle you can bend it without distorting it, and also get to the plastic 10mm nuts
