Well when I did mine I just peeled the badge off with a little help from a screw driver, then got some tar remover onto the clue behind, then spent some time pulling the glue off and stuff, cleaned up the area, T-cut it all to get rid of the mess and I was left with a nice smooth finish, even though they left a line behined, but I will be getting new bump strips and colour coding them.

Taking the clue off is easy if its cold because the glue has gone hard so you can pick it off and pull at it and it comes off in strips.
