clutch cant be out of line. even if it was a bit out when it was fitted it would line up as soon as you press the clutch pedal. splines wouldnt be slipping you would know about it if they were it would do it all the time | |

its only a foot though it sounds as if the slines on the driver side shaft are just to big and it spins in side the cog. would it do it if the clucth was slightly out of line. | |

the 2wd drive kit wont make it whine either all it is is a spacer plate nothing mechanical. | |

as above can i use equal length shafts as my gearbox is ment to have the conversion but when i put it in reverse and reverse about a foot it makes a whining noise pull it forward and it shuts up. any help would be appreciated. |
