Mon, when I 1st removed my Astra's it took me 3 hours. The last time I changed it it only took me 20 mins :D

I found it easier to stand on the engine and work that way.

It's fvery tight to remove the oil return pipe and there is a bracket from the turbo to the block, that IS a big pain to get off. In the end I didn't refit it with that on. All the exhaust mani has to come offto take the turbo off the mani coz you can't get to or see the bolts.

If the exhaust manifold is a the front i can't see it being too hard.

Mines at the back on the golf and is an absolute bitch to get to!

Haynes manual? I should imagine it isn't a 1 spanner rating out of 5.
