you should be able to get it out OR infact just ring the lock smiths, they will come to you and remove the barrel for you.
Work out alot cheaper than vauxhall

how easy is it to remove the barrel without being able to insert the key?

What you need to do is remove the barrel yourself and take it to a lock smith (we have a place called Keyfax) an they will fix it for about 40pounds

Hi guys,

Got a little problem with my mate's corsa C.

She can't physically get the key in the ignition barrel let alone getting it into position 1. The RAC have checked over the barrel and after spraying the barrel he believes the cylinder is buggered.

The car was toed to Vauxhall and now they want 340£ to replace the barrel!!

Does this seem normal? It seems a bit too much even for Vauxhall prices!!

How easy is it to get the barrel out of the CorsaC, I've done it on the corsaB and an old astra, but i'm not sure if it will be just as easy on the new corsa C?
Can I get the barrel out without removing the steering wheel?

Am I right in thinking all I need is a set of same barrels for ignition/boot/door and a key.

If I put the barrels in myself, all Vauxhall need to do is transfer the transponder/immobiliser chip from the old key to the new key?
