Hmm worth having a look at doing that myself.... Anything a bit more pleasing to the eye than a plastic bottle? (read the other link about the volvic bottle made me laugh)

so it will be tricky to get to? does it mean having to take the manifold back off?

catch tank imo, not just vent it to the atmosphere.

Dave means the one that goes just by the throttle body up to the rocker. Because the throttle body is low down the oil follows gravity and ends up down there. Silly design really, should be a GM catch tank there, part no: 9201848

behind the throttle body is a rubber hose, about 16mm wide, it pushes onto the pipe. pull this off and blank off the hole in the inlet pipe with a suitable bolt (or whatever you can fit in it, maybe an AAA battery? and secure it with some sealant. the long pipe can be pulled back to the cam cover and cut short and pushed into a 500mm coke bottle to act as a catch tank.

as broster and I know, a Volvic bottle with a Gotech sticker will add at least 5 bhp.

got a pic of it? what do I do with it then?

it will only gunk up again, unless you remove the crankcase breather from the inlet pipe (highly reccomended mod)

How much is LOADS? will spraying that stuff you get at halfords be any good. I used it before on my old car. Just spray it in after the air filter while holding the car at 2-3k revs

not a problem unless LOADS of oil is going into the inlet. All these engines do it a little, as most do through crakcase ventilation.

cheers buddy, just number 1 problem so sort.

changed my rocker cover today to one that I had painted. When doing so I noticed two things:

(1) Oil in the intake (manifold and throttle boddy)
(2) In one of the breather pipes coming off the rocker cover (the larger diameter one) there was mayo inside it. I have no mayo in my water and under the rocker cover everything was fine, actually looked remarcably clean for a car 10 years old.

Any idea?
Could I try that stuff that you spray inside while the engine is running to clean it?
