ok i messed about with a couple of connectors near the throttle body and the car is idleing perfectly ,but the eml light is still on also when you rev the car the revs like sticks abit then goes back down but if you pull the foot pedal back after you have revved it, its like normal if that makes sense is there like a throttle position sensor on an n reg car or is it most likely to be throttle cable sticking abit? or could this be the problem why the eml light is on? , you lot been great help so far just hope its all sorted by the weekend :)

yes having the crank sensor off is not really good for it. thats why it wont go above 4000rpm. not sure if it will affect idle though

just done headgasket on my car and the eml light is on and it also idles around 2-3000 rpm and sumetimes gradually rises, any ideas where i could be getting an air leak or something from? also would having the bottom pully off make the eml light come on seems the crank sensor wont be reading anything:boggle: thanks for any help :) |
