on nearly any car i have had i wire the fan to a manual switch. then you can determine as and when you cool the engine. Best thing is tho the way i do it. it will stiull kick in on its own if i forget the switch but just at the normal temp! | |

A temporary method of sorting this is wacking the heating on full blast and the temp will drop in no time | |

TBH the cooling system on these things is pretty crap IMO | |

definitely not a coolant leak Dave, as the level never changes, apart from when warm obviously. | |

possibly an airlock/ faulty thermostat / coolant leak / needs a coolant change..... | |

try usin summer coolant, i use antifreeze in the winter and summer coolant in the summer in my gsi, temp never goes over 90 when driving | |

My Corsa (X16XE) drives along at 30-40 mph at about 92 degrees, no problem what so ever. |
