yeah basicly the same engine same block 1.7 has bigger sleeves means that its not true that the 1.5 it's more thicker and also longer stroke ,if tune the 1.7 it's more faster ! maybe location for the intercooler will be a problem on corsa

there is not alot of point putting the 1.7 in.

the block is the same on the 1.5 but thicker as its not bored out to 1.7

you can run the same boost on a 1.5 as a 1.7 but you need to do the fuel modification. if you want to know more give me or bonelorry on here a shout

You can use the 1.5td corsa mounts and just put the engine in easy !!

Could anyone point me in the direction of some information / advice / threads regarding putting a Astra 1.7TD (isuzu, intercooled) engine into my Corsa 1.5TD (isuzu). I have a friend who is scrapping his Astra and thought it could be a fun conversion!! (especially with the pump turned up and pushing 1bar!) ;)

I have heard that it's quite simple with a modified engine mount, but I'm a little worried that things are never really that simple.

Many Thanks
