AFM i recon

never done a paper clip test, but with tech 2 you often get

o2 sensor low voltage - which is also a mass air flow meter fault

fault i may add iv also got one for sale!

if the light has stayed on for about 10 seconds do the paper clip test and see what codes are stored in the ecu, even though the light isn't on now it should have stored the code if it was on 10 secs or more

hmm well apart from the list of things mattk said, the only thing I can think of is loss of compression. A compression test on your cylinder head will tell you if thats playing up ;)

p.s. BTW is there lots of pressure inside ur coolant tank?

alright cheers for the help guys> ive checked the coolant level and its fine, theres no oil leaks, and i cant see anything wrong with the airbox/flow meter (never touched em). what do you advise i do now? is it still ok to drive? i was planning to drive nearly 200miles on saturday> spose thats not a good idea now lol

my mates did this, could be either:

lambda sensor
crank sensor
EGR valve

he had them changed and it was fine

not 2 sure, could be loss of compression. Mite hav 2 get pressure test for cylinder head. My head gasket blew a little while after the problem your experiencing. Is the coolant level stable and is there and oil leaks?

could also be your AFM (Air Flow meter) or a dodgy airbox

i drive a W reg corsa 1.0L 12v (shocking engine i know:P) but for the last few weeks, every now and again, when im accelerate from low revs, theres a loss of power for about a second or so (like as if ide taken my foot off the accelerator), then all of a sudden the acceleration comes back.

it just did it a few times on the way home now, and the engine management light flashed on, its off now. anyone know what the problem could be?

any help appreciated, cheers, chris.
