if the gaskets fubar on the selector turret it'll leak, if the bung is left out after a linkage tweak it'll leak

Have you steam cleaned it?

Are you positive it is seeping up from the gearbox and not leaking down from elsewhere? Gearbox fluid is red on a manual and green on an auto. The gear linkage cannot be responsible, do you mean the selector? The part coming from the gearbox that is fastened to the linkage via a pin?

Steam clean it or pressure wash it. Then with no grime on the box you can identify the oil colour!

I have a 2001 corsa C SXI but it has a oil leak on the top of the gearbox, i think it might be something to do with the gear linkage seal, anyone got any other ideas?

Thanks in advance
